We weep for the blood of a bird, but not for the blood of a fish. Blessed are those with a voice. If the dolls could speak, no doubt they'd scream, "I didn't want to become human." (Motoko Kusanagi. GITS Innocence)
Blessed are they who have feet, for they shall walk; blessed are they that have hands, for they shall work; blessed are they that have a voice, for they shall cry aloud; blessed are they who have a mouth and tongue, for they shall speak; blessed are they that have eyes, for they shall see. Even so our Lord arranging in their order the members as it were of the soul, hath taught what is proper to each. Humility qualifies for the possession of the kingdom of heaven. (St. Augustine of Hipona. Sermon 53, 9)
If you had a voice ... What would be your crying? A deaf mute cannot cry, but he/she has eyes to see, hands to work and mind to think. Maybe a deaf mute's cry is what he/she do. What would be your crying? The answer is a new question: what you do?
